Lady Isabel

(a.k.a. The Moon Maiden)

Very little is known of Lady Isabel: where she came from, who her parents were, how old she is, all mysteries. She will not answer such questions and in fact says very little outside of combat. What is known is that she has a deep seeded hatred for undead, and has vowed to smite them all from existence. With her exceedingly rare starforged sword, she intends to do just that. Even the origins of the sword and her ornate, clearly custom made armor remain unexplained. Starforged alloys outshine even truesilver and nightsteel in their rarity, value, and quality. It is believed only master dwarven smiths know the secrets of forging it, and even then they have to have the metal from fallen stars to work with. The general consensus is that she is one of the twelve Stellaran Knights, though even this explanation appears lacking, as she has taken no squire to replace her in the case of her death.
These layers upon layers of secrets have led to some of the hobgoblins whispering that she is instead an avatar of the moon, Stellara itself, a compelling, if rather outlandish notion. As such they have taken to worshiping her after a fashion, providing her with food and volunteering to serve as her personal honor guard wherever she goes, all of which she at least tolerates in stoic silence. It is possible, if unlikely, that Ferritrix contracted or convinced her to join in the defense of the Brightgrass Sea and repulsion of the undead who encroach upon its borders, and has failed to notify anyone of the agreement. However one thing is certain: she has come to Brightgrass because that is where one can fight against the undead, and that is what she is there to do.
