Iron Boars
Wild boars are already incredibly dangerous, so being larger and more aggressive makes iron boars even more of a menace. Sometimes referred to as “dire boars,” or the more colorful “hell pigs,” they scrounge out a living in the appropriately hellish foothills of the Blighted Wastes.
Basic Information
Anatomy
They can use their long, curved tusks to run a man through or they can simply trample an enemy to death. Their bristly hides are most commonly reddish brown, gray, or black, and their meat is considered something of a delicacy in certain circles.
Behaviour
Shockingly fast over short distances, it is common for an overly zealous hunter or unwary adventurer to have one on top of them before they realize it was even there. While they typically use their snouts and tusks to dig for roots and tubers, they have also been observed scavenging carcasses on occasion. The dvergen have taken to taming them as mounts and riding them into battle. They are ferocious warriors, if they can be controlled.
