Sixth Crisis
Humanity, finding itself on the back end, soon realigned together, forming networks connecting with each other and even partnering with OMNI, which had resisted the Aliens from the get-go and continued to do so in wake of the invasions.
One of the few technological advantages that emerged was a chrono device, which could manipulate space and time for a brief moment. This allowed groups of weapon systems to teleport or alter time to appear in a location before a battle began.
This technology wasn’t unknown to the Aliens, as first believed. It was, however, highly dangerous, as there were counters to this technology and devices. The Centuri had warning devices that were always prepared, allowing their troops to prepare for it, often slightly negating the element of surprise. In contrast, the X'tachn lived on a complex level beyond normal humans despite their lack of technological understanding.
However, the blatant use of time manipulation started to cause issues, paradoxes, and disruptions to plans. Something both sides couldn't abide.
Having stalled out against humanity, the Centuri reinforcement decided to crash thier capital ship into the earth and be done with the planet, and X'tachn. The X'tachn realizing this took advantage of Human chrono technology to trap the Centuri forces by sending them back in to time. Human Agents worked to stop this only managed end up travelling back in time with the Centuri. However armed wtih a timetravel device the human agents were able to guide themselves and the Centuri to a stable point in the timeline.
To prevent the centuri forces from coming back the X'tachn had build a device deep in the wilderness of Yellowstone that has become known as the Anchor.
The device, powered by the massive geothermal vent under the Yellowstone area, prevents time travel and redirects all Chrono traffic to somewhere within the time and space of its activity along a linear quantum vector.
Whether the X'tachn were aware of what they were about to do, didn’t care or simply thought it would be funny to do it anyway, activated the device. The Centuri forces that had not been sent back in time assualt the Anchor as the device also affects FTL technologies.
As the X'tachn defended against the Centauri assault that came with the mad plan, the effects of the Anchor began to happen rapidly. As the Anchor forces all “Chrono particles” to its location and energy field, it means that time travelers passing through the Earth’s location in the 4th, 5th, and 6th dimensions. This was, shockingly, a lot of time travelers and the reason none had appeared before this moment.
Countless people fell out of the sky, it was clear they were not all on the same team. Alternative World Wars' combatants, especially Time Travelling Nazis, strangers from gilded and golden ages searching for the searches of tomorrow. Rival Science Men trying to be the first to discover soemthing. Soon what erupted in Yellowstone was a violent battle between not only alien invaders defending humanity and now Earth's own time travelers trying to reshape the history.
The Battle Raged for months.
A surprising Ally emerged from the Alantic ocean seemingly suddenly. The group called itself the Altanians. They had a massive underwater kingdom that spanned the whole ocean. They came from a strange alternative timeline created by Anchor but would not say more. The fact they were willing to fight for Earth was good enough for S.E.N.T.I.N.E.L., and they were able to meet the Centuri on equal footing without NuTypes, their NuTypes were even able to match the NuTypes of the Centuri. The also had an understand of Kaijus allowing some pacification of the threat during these final days.
With the Chaos, new, fresh allies, and a constant stream of combat, Humanity was able to win taking the Anchor, and forcing the Centuri into retreat across the globe.
The Battle of the Anchor ended in a massive but costly victory for the Earth
The X'tachn having been fully discovered, use the chaos to escape. Taking with them a few dedicated thralls and what resources they could. Loyalist to the X'tachn remain in the shadows, cultist enthralled by the dark and strange masteries the X'tachn had.
But they could read the writing on the wall and never really meant to fight for the Earth.
They had gained something from the Earth and that was enough.
The Battle of the Anchor broke the back of the warmachine that was the Centurai invasion. Forcing them to evaluate. With their hated foe gone, heavy losses, earth’s resources questionable and on the back foot, logic dictated that they abandon the field there was other battlefields. So, the Centurai pulled out; mostly. Hybrids, dishonorable soldiers, slaves, prisoners and undesirables were abandoned, left on Earth as the pure and honorable members of the Centurai boarded their ships and travelled to escape the Anchors affects to return to the main empire.
Earth Watched them slowly travel to the edge of the Anchors affect befoer thier FTL made them disappear, leaving behind only the scars of the war from the last few decades.
S.E.N.T.I.N.E.L. elected to keep the Anchor active. They established a special military force, the “Time Keepers,” to ensure the device's safety. Part of this was that the device prevents FTL from traveling right onto Earth, and more to the point, it keeps the timeline safe from paradoxes and prevents Time Crimes. No one really wants to think about what would happen if somone moved a chair during the last few days of the final crises. The Anchor is also being studied as it is a powerful piece of technology and energy.
This also meant that all Time Travelers were now forced to remain off course, out of time. Most were able to merge into the S.E.N.T.I.N.E.L. successfully, or becoming citizens, if a few were a little confused, but a number were not happy.
Some carved out micro nations, other banded together with similar time lines and now lie in wait. Many unable to fit in try to escape the Anchors affect or, to destroy the Anchor itself.
Alantians, now having proven themselves friends, revealed their origins with in the days of peace.
They were the combination of the Centuri and Human Defenders sent back in time by the X'tachn. They banded together having arrived in 3150 BC their brief war merging as the story Plato would later retell.
Seemingly they wiped themselves out in many timelines with only a few times surviving long enough to really affect history or be part of it, with “all” timelines merging thanks to the Anchor. The Alantians were able to become a force that could survive and more provide an army able to fight the invaders of thier home. This merger of Human and Centurai at the depth of the ocean produced a powerful hybrid species that saw itself sister-race to humanity, given the extremism of the Centurai’s blood purity an enemy to them.
Thus ends the Six Crises.
While the Kaiju Incursion remains. OMNI an Ally to Humanity. With Skies and Times protected, the world can start rebuild protected by NuTypes for a Nu age.
