El Campeon

El Campeon is an institution – three generations of pro wrestlers deep, all bearing the mask. Though the current El Campeon (technically El Nieto de Campeon) is the youngest generation, with the retirement of his father from the public eye, he’s the sole carrier of the Campeon name.
The Current El Campeon is a NuType that has joined the NFBL, NuType Fighting Battle League, much like professional wrestling the line between real and staged is vague.
El Campeon III wrestles first and foremost in a lucha classico style – which often catches those who are expecting Luchadores to be high fliers by surprise. Rather than take to the air with any regularity, El Campeon wrestles as his predecessors did – strong, and frequent, tests of strength leading into collar-and-elbow lockups; frequent exchanges of explosive chops; and a preference for dramatic submission move struggles from the center of the ring. It is only when the match has reached its most desperate – both competitors exhausted, and perhaps his opponent down for the count in the center of the ring – that El Campeon will ascend to the top rope for his family’s legendary Titan Frog Splash.
El Campeon fights out of the ring in much the same way, being a strong grappler and often refusing to use his fist, even though life or death altercations outside the NFBL might demand it. Often, El Campeon is seen entering the most dangerous parts of the UCAA to test himself and bring an end to injustice.
El Campeon has claimed he will unmask the strange individuals claiming to be EL SANTO because the tradition of the Masquer require it more than anything else.
