Dragon

Dragons are the most advanced civilization on TGC, colonizers who appeared on the planet while early life was still developing there and settled on a particular continent. They are a species who prefer to live primarily in isolation and among their own kind. Dragons are often renowned for their rather "elitist" air and they do not take kindly to being compared to mammalian species at all. They are an imperialistic species who see it as their duty to spread their knowledge and culture for the sake of their homeworld's empire. Dragon technology is highly advanced to the point where they have developed fully autonomous AI that is arguably for all intents and purposes "living". Some Dragon technology is so beyond comprehension of other species that it has been compared to magic. To preserve their species, dragons are capable of reproducing with any species to produce a child that has draconian traits no matter what the other parents may be. However, any being with less than half-dragon lineage is not considered a dragon by dragonic standards. The dragons have traveled far across the galaxy sowing their seeds in the genetic lineage of civilizations far beyond what any mere individual can imagine. Dragons tend to be a tint of red with the older dragons often being dark in tone from shades of brown to the elders being jet black. It is rumored that back on the dragon homeworld, there are ancient dragons that are possibly the progenitors of all life in the universe and are the size of living continents. The average lifespan of a dragon is currently unknown but it is known that a single member of the species can live for thousands of years.

Gender Ideals

To a dragon, the most feminine aspect is a sort of reserved, "royal" nature usually befitting a queen. It is no accident they're often called "iron maidens". The most powerful dragons usually show an unrepentant coldness in demeanor. Not to the point of direct hostility; but definitely to where an air of tension exists. Female dragons are said to "control the atmosphere". Being more amicable or coaxing, particularly with strangers, is considered lower class. It's acceptable and common among kin however. It's also well known that the more reserved or "elite" a female acts, that generally the rougher they are in bed.
Dragons also place high value in females having a very strong tail. These tails are larger than males, even in human shape, and exhibit much more crushing force. In particularly competitive environments, females will actually wrestle one another with their tails to exert their dominance. Typically when a female wants to be threatening or is angered, rather than show it directly in their expression or words, they'll simply flick their tails. A simple flick is usually enough as a threat, but when a larger show of force is needed, they'll slam their tails into the ground behind them.

Common Myths and Legends

Dragon folktales tend to focus on the feats and exploits of "the empire" or royalty of various eras. They might also focus on epic battles that usually relied on some kind of military strategizing or plan, often times maximizing defense in order to hold down the line.
Dragons do have mythic heroes, however. Zayek Yahad is one said to have single-handedly defeated an entire continent of warriors in the name of the dragons.
