Ormshire Camp
Situated to the east of Ormshire Fort in the Barony of Ormshire is Ormshire Fort. This large semi-permanent military base serves as the home of the Ormshire Legion which acts as a last line of defence on Dorwine's southern border.
In addition to the Commander of the Ormshire Legion Gatewarden Timothy Jarvalsa there are several other notable personalities that can be found in the camp:
- Carmen Therundlin: Second-in-command of the Legion. Elven, shoulder-length red hair, short & sturdy, blind but a great leader and superb tactician
- Samar Illynmah: Quartermaster. Half-elf, flowing red hair, tall and rotund. Known for their chill attitude and lax dress standards. Owns a pet owl and is a par-time priest of Amat
- Hadley Luckdodger: Head Cook. Halfling, male, black hair, tall for a halfling. Still has a broken arrow sticking out the back of his head. Wears a lucky eyeball about his neck.
- Rayyan Therundlin: Chief Surgeon. Half sister of Carmen. Half-elf with almost too perfect, fine features who has visions of the end of the world.
- Oban Wolfsbane: Master Archer. Short sturdy half-orc. Transgender (he). Has a dent in his skull that's helaed over. Loves fishing. A hopeless negotiator.
- Varek Cogturner: Master of the Horse. Human male with a potbelly and an infectious giggle. A great horseman in spite of his build. Has had a prophetic dream where he saw the party die. Has been revived from the dead.
Defences
The camp is surrounded by a permanent wooden stockade - the walls of which stretch 25feet above the ground. There are numerous wooden towers along the wall and wooden gatehouses at the cardinal points of the compass.
Architecture
Most of the camp is made up of row after row of 5 person tents. There are some semi-permanent and permanent structures including:
- The Legion Headquarters
- Infirmary
- Stables and horse paddock
- Archery Range
- Quartermaster
- Several mess halls
- Officer's mess
- Officer's quarters
- Home of Timothy Jarvalsa, Commander of the Legion
