Llaughy

The village of Llaughy was once a thriving settlement on the edges of Silverwood Forest. The elves worked the forest and the halflings would go fish upon Lake Fiery. But a couple of centuries ago things started to go wrong. First the trees of the forest began their out and out war and it became increasingly difficult to go into the forest and the villagers began to have strange, unsettling dreams almost every night. Then young girl babies would disappear. Some villagers said that strange shadowy hounds would take them and others told tales of seeing an old woman in a floating cauldron. Some of the babies would reappear months later but not be quite right only to transform into hideous monstrosities on their 13th birthdays. Although most of these were destroyed, a couple disappeared into the forest, never to be seen again. As the Lake began to foul there was little left for the villagers and their numbers have dwindled.

Government

Llaughy is governed by a mayor, a male elf named Nanta. He has served as mayor for over 100 years for no one else will take the job and he is utterly at a loss as to how to fix the curse upon his village.
