Background

Over the past few years mephits have been slipping into Darknook in the evenings through geothermal bores and creating havoc. The ordnance was passed to try and limit further opportunities for the creatures to gain access to the village.

Public Reaction

Reaction has been mixed. Many Darknookers resent the Mayor getting involved in their affairs and since geothermal heat and energy is cheap and relatively accessible they wish to have the option to access it, even with the inconvenience of the odd mephit.
