Badalona & Mehmen kill a mimic Report
General Summary
Badalona, a barbarian travelling from Windmontley Hall meets up with druid and local brewer, Mehmen Ashid in the village of Darknook . Mehmen is heading into the Llangoed Forest to visit the home of Old Nelly. Old Nelly is a herbalist who lives with her husband deep in the woods, half a day's journey from Darknook. The people of the village often visit Nelly for cures for various ailments but she is regarded by many as little more than a witch.
Mehmen asks Badalona to accompany him because there are rumours of ghouls in the woods. Soon enough they are proven correct and encounter a lone ghoul that stlaks them fro some time before attacking. The pair dispatch it in short order before encounter Nelly being lead away from her home trussed up in a cart. Apparently she has been found by a visitor surrounded by blood and gore and with her husband missing. She is being removed to Darknook to be burned as a witch. Mehmen and Badalona manage to persuade the mayor to give them a chance to investigate properly and return to Nelly's cottage. There they are attacked by the real killer of Nelly's husband, a mimic. By defeating the mimic the pair reveal Nelly to be innocent and earn her gratitude
