Basic Information

Anatomy

According to excavated murals in sites like Talabre, Elves seemed to have largely resembled humans. The main discernable difference is the elongated and pointed ears are constantly depicted as having had.

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Elven civilizations are most common in northern regions of Dormelia, particularly near the Wynstone mountains. It is unknown if the species migrated to the region from elsewhere in favor of the colder climate or if they had originated there to begin with.

Average Intelligence

Archaeological evidence (surviving architecture like in Talabre, historical accounts and texts, etc.) points to Elves as having been well developed and learned as a society.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Historical accounts depict Elves as having been exceptionally adept with magic in seemingly all fields of study.

Civilization and Culture

Average Technological Level

All archaeological evidence found thus far indicates that Elves were very well developed as a society with stone architecture, a common writing system shared between subcultures, and an apparent plethora of magical knowledge.

Common Myths and Legends

It is unknown how the Elves came to become extinct. Many merely conclude that their race was a tragic casualty of the Age of Dusk, despite other races such as human and beastkin surviving, albeit with a significant blow their respective populations.   Some theorize that the elves knew about the coming Age of Dusk and fled to safer lands. This is based on partial text accounts that make mention of a 'lifeless night' many connect to the Age of Dusk. Other have taken this indicate that the elves knew about what caused the Dusk or perhaps were even responsible for it in some way.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

It is unknown how involved Elves may have become with humans of the time. Surviving historical accounts do depict the two races at least knowing of one an other, but make little indication of anything beyond passing acknowledgement or the occasional trade.

Lifespan
Unknown
Average Height
Partial remains found in archaeological sites suggest an average height of 6 ft.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Historical accounts and surviving murals seem to suggest Elves as having had light skin tones, though it remains impossible to say for sure.   Some murals have also depicted Elves face paint of some sort streaked across their brow, nose, and cheek. The current prevailing theory is that this paint was used to denote a warrior group amongst the species.
