Dusk Bloom
A rare plant found exclusively within The Scar region of Dormelia.
The plant is a key ingredient in concoctions meant to combat magical effects and practitioners. Such products include medicine used to manage unstable magical flow in a person, antidotes to magical effects and afflictions, and drugs meant to interrupt or incapacitate magic practitioners' ability to cast spells.
Reported side effects of said concoctions include fatigue, weakness in the limbs, dizziness, and (in certain cases) death.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Dusk bloom is typically identified by its unique greyish-blue petals and black leaves.
Most samples of the plant possess a single long stalk reaching to an average height of about two feet.
Ecology and Habitats
Natural dusk bloom grows exclusively within the Scar.
Efforts have been made to grow gardens of the plant for harvesting, but even the few successful attempts have only yielded samples with extremely limited potency when used in potion making.
Dietary Needs and Habits
There is a largely accepted theory that the potency of wild dusk blooms harvested from the Scar may be attributed to soil contents from the region. However, scholars have yet to come to any consensus on what factor or combination of is what makes wild dusk bloom such a key ingredient. Micro organisms in the soil? Crystalline deposits mixing with other natural minerals? The debate rages.
Additional Information
Domestication
While cultivated dusk bloom have yet to match their wild growing counterparts in terms of potency, the samples harvested are still capable of yielding their anti-magical effects, albeit significantly weaker.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Dusk bloom is only to grow naturally within the region of the Scar.
Lifespan
8 months
Conservation Status
Attempts have been made to regulate the harvesting and trade of dusk bloom for fear of over-foraging rendering the plant extinct. This has been difficult to accomplish given the lack of civil infrastructure in the Scar.

I like that you included uncertainty in why it isn't easily domesticated.
Thanks. One of the things I wanted to get across in my ideas for Dormelia is that no one really understands how things related to Dusk or the Scar work.
