Order of Djan
The Order of Djan is a secretive organization that may or may not exist, spoken of in hushed whispers between those who know of them and treated as the boogeyman by those who do not. Some rumors say that without their assistance, The 4th Embry would never have come to power, and that they have dark secrets that would topple the city if they came to light. Others say that they're nothing more than a thieves' guild, a loosely aligned collection of rogues and conmen who are little better than common thieves. Some of the more unhinged theories, however, posit that they may even be connected to the Najda civilization, lost for millennia and buried deep underneath Doreymos. But such outlandish claims cannot be truth, can they? Whatever the case is with this secretive organization, it is best not to underestimate something you cannot even see or trace.
Structure
The exact mechanics of the Order of Djan are secret to almost all outsiders, and in fact to many of those in the Order as well. The most common members are known as Operatives, and they function as the eyes and ears of the Order. At the very top of the organization, as far as anyone who may know is aware of, is the Secretmaster, an unidentified personage who is privy to almost every secret in the city.
Culture
The Order is, fittingly enough, quite secretive about their driving goals and what they strive for. One can only assume that they collect knowledge for its own sake, although holding true power in the city may be another reason. Whatever the case, one thing is for sure; most secrets that enter the property of the Order of Djan don't escape them with ease.
Public Agenda
There is no public agenda. Most people don't even know that the Order exists. Those who do, or think they do, have no insight in to their ulterior motives.
The only secrets are forgotten.
