Mount Toroyama

Despite it's name, Mount Toroyama is actually a small grouping of mountains, though most of the names have been lost to time. The name Toroyama comes from the largest and only sustained-snow mountain in the range, which has become well-known for providing water to The Glass Desert and preventing the river from completely drying during the hottest seasons of the year. The vital resource this mountain provides allows settlements like Esteria and Saraze to survive, as even the largest river would not bear nearly enough to support more than Triandria on it's own. Triandria controls the main river during the dry seasons and Mount Toroyama supplies the lower settlements.

Geography

Comprised of many small mountains, the mountain range is dominated by the largest mountain, Toroyama. Toroyama and it's many peaks constantly collect and store snow, which only stops growing during the dry season, during which it melts and trickles through the range and making it's way down the Desert. The major stream coming out of Toroyama flows undisturbed before joining with the other smaller rivers at Triandria.

Natural Resources

Water, being a vital resource to the Desert, flows from the mountain range and pumps life into the Desert below. Settlers from Triandria use this freshwater in conjunction with the other rivers to grow a modest amount of food in the otherwise unforgiving and dry landscape.  Additionally, the mountain provides stone useful for reinforcing structures, allowing the settlements to improve their buildings without paying the high shipping costs of such a  heavy material.
