History

Stemming from early centaur culture, Bounty Watch is a tradition that the people of Veren maintain to the present day. Although its purpose shifted from a practical application of watching for predators, it is still heavily practiced in Veren culture. After a while, the tradition became more egregious, and began to take place primarily at night. This was because of the Invictii changing it to represent more of a spiritual defense. Although, it has maintained some practical use in the Legions.

Execution

If a meal takes place after sun set, each member of the table must take a turn saying prayers while the others eat. This signifies the faitfhul assuming the mantel of invictus as he patrols elsewhere in creation. The prayers are said to ward of ill fortune and malevolent spirits. The prayers continence at 10 minute intervals until all have finished eating.

Components and tools

The only required components for the prayer is people eating, and a holy symbol. Food is required of course!

Participants

Each member of the table is expected to participate. If a member does not participate, or takes to long eating; the others of the table are expected to cover for the lost time. The prayer is usually stared by the youngest, and should end with the oldest. The latter part of that rule i less enforced, depending on the duration of the meal.

However, enire towns will partake on particular holidays. Soldiers often practies this on every meal to ensure that they a protected spiritually, and physically!
