Sorcerer’s Test

"Sorcerer’s Test"
A magical evaluation given at The Dragon’s Tower Academy (for sorcerers) and used to determine if an apprentice sorcerer is ready to advance and proceed on their own. The exam tests the apprentice’s ability to cast spells and use them in unconventional ways, as well as testing their intelligence and wisdom in a variety of circumstances. There is no predetermined exam and each test could be unique to the apprentice. Upon completion of the evaluation, the apprentice is promoted and given full rank and privileges of the other Dragon's Tower sorcerers. They may come and go as they please and are free to use the tower’s resources whenever they like. Some may even be offered a job at the tower.

History

The test began as a way to evaluate if a troubled sorcerer was ready to venture out into the world. After the The Sundering many magic users were blamed and hunted down. The test began as a way to make sure that the sorcerers could handle themselves and not exacerbate situations. Loose cannons cannot be tolerated.

Participants

The Dragon's Tower master and the apprentice take part in the final exam.

Observance

This occurs when an apprentice aquires enough knowledge and practice and chooses to graduate.
