Geography

A small island continent located on the planet's 30th parallel and surrounded by ocean. Due to the prevailing winds and terrain, this land rarely receives any amount of rainfall, creating a vast, sand and rock strewn wasteland, covering the entire continent. Tall mountain ranges, volcanoes, flattened plateaus, dried up river beds, and toxic chemical laden lakes permeate this landscape. There is little obvious plant or animal life present, but some species do manage to eek out an existence here.
Places of note: several salt flats, arsenic pools, obsidian plains, glass fields, silver sands, petrified forests, sand dunes, and boulder rockways.
Ages ago, before The Sundering, this land was mostly a vast, temperate, deciduous and coniferous forest, with rivers, lakes, mountains, meadows, and a few swamps. Many civilizations thrived here.

Fauna & Flora

Contains the typical array of desert plants and animals. In particular it is rumored to have massive snakes, insects, and lizards.

Natural Resources

Being a sandy desert, various rocks and minerals are readily available resources. The sparse, but hardy plants and animal species offer unique opportunities as well. Lesser known resources include salts, obsidian, amber, and silver. Remnants and artifacts from past civilizations can still be found here on occasion.
