Kirek Sweet Spread
Many will debate this to be the sweetest sugar in Ardus.
While they can be many ingredients in the spread, the key ingredient is Kikol Petal as a base, as it's sticky enough to keep the paste together.
Other popular ingredients include Kimaro Nirn, Nornflake, Applie extract, dried Vineberry, and sometimes even Sweet Bump Root.
In place of Hapillurn, whole petals of Hapil can be used. It's not as strong, but still adds a little more sweetness. It was once seen as a poorer subsitute, but once they were styled into the spread block, sometimes framing it, or using the same color petals to make a design, it's seen as an nice aesthetic aspect to those who appreciate it.
"What low class! Upon my tongue a stringy stem of a flower, is that...
That's a hapil. How did a hapil end up in my mouth!"
"That's the charm of the paste, please don't make a fuss brother."
"Charm? Of a weed? No you're right, a charming weed on my lips." "You're horrible to bring to these kinds of events. Try to enjoy the little things." "It's not even a garnish? Merely a charm." "If you don't like this place, you're not going to like our next stop. Try to grow up."-squabble between upper class travelers
"Okay I have my Nornflake, some Vineberries, mushed Applies and... oh where is the Kikol Petal... it's around here, right...One area it's become popular is the small art gallery Hodefel Grove, where food is served with a showing of live art. Once catering full meals to the miners, it shifted to selling pastries and sweets, primarily usign the kirek sweet spread. Because the area had farms where the ingredients were grown locally, it became a staple in their pantries, and inexpensive compared to other places, or outsourcing other sugars from merchants.
Who bought this bunch of flowers? They're not the right ones! You've ruined dessert, I can make sweet spread without Kikol Petal!-exhaused Kediwl A Bapintler, chef at the Hodefel Grove"
