It was only recently that Jadiwl Wings have been researched to see a start in a new gene that mutates an extra enzyme that breaks down certain poisons, namely one from the Deadtongue Peppers. This makes them a formidable predator to monsters like Grintongue Rattel, those that depend on the pepper for defense.
Life finds a way, evolution makes its way.
Jadiwl Wings have plenty to hunt, but their all time favorite is always going to be the
Grintongue Rattel. Bones are often found near where they roost and their nests, with remains similar to the specific species of rattel.
They are dangerous to eat for most, but the Jadiwl are slowy, surely, and naturally starting to adapt to eat their favorite prey.
Normally solo hunters, they are starting to hunt in duos, and whenever tested, only one of the pair has the gene to eat the toxins. If the adaption takes over the whole species, there's no telling what will happen, as the birds are already starting to overhunt the rattel.
