Personal history

Orrimar is nearly as old as Divostra itself, as praying to the gods for divine inspiration is a tradition shared by all mortals. As dwarves, gnomes, dragons, and other mortal races began to build cities and invent technology that allowed them some degree of control over their world, their influence upon the Thaumic Weave would grow to a crescendo that culminated in the birth of Orrimar. From the outset, the Primordial Titans viewed Orrimar as a threat to their divine supremacy, as the new god offered knowledge and inspiration to followers whom the titans needed to maintain their control on the Weave. However, for a time, Orrimar escaped the notice of the Primordial Titans by virtue of Kai'ossh's omnicidal rampage attracting all of the titans' attention. While many civilizations collapsed during the titans' struggle against the god of darkness, those dedicated to Orrimar managed to survive the desolation thanks to their deity's protection and guidance.   Following the conflict, Orrimar knew the Primordial Titans viewed the Prime Pantheon as a threat to their omnipotence, especially after such an immense battle with one of its oldest members. Seeking to build a bridge between the titans and the old gods, Orrimar offered their aid to the creation of the Temples of the Titans that would seal away Kai'ossh. Together they built five temples, placing one of the quartered fragments of Khaos into each of the first four. But the titans betrayed Orrimar, who discovered too late that the fifth temple had been commissioned as a prison for its creator. Orrimar was sealed away in a demiplane of the titans' creation and the temple itself was swallowed by the earth, buried beneath layers of rock and ocean.   Though their physical form was locked out of Divostra, Orrimar maintained their connection to the Prime Material Plane through the Thaumic Weave, in much the same way Kai'ossh continues to exert its influence after its defeat. Ever the resourceful god, Orrimar molded their prison into their own divine realm, turning the demiplane into an ecumenopolis filled with marvellous buildings and awe-inspiring monuments. They named this plane the City of Marvels. Following the conquest of the Shadelands by the Matron of Death, Orrimar created a bridge from the City of Marvels to the Shadelands known as the Dawnstone Viaduct. This allowed for the departed souls of Orrimar's worshippers to travel to the City of Marvels, filling its once-empty buildings with the spirits of the devout. This further empowered the imprisoned god, eventually allowing them to break through the magic barrier binding them to the prison plane.
