Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C., officially referred to as the District of Columbia and informally simply as Washington or D.C. is the capital of the United States of America . It is home to all three branches of the U.S. Federal Government, about 900,000 people and a significant number of Superhumans.
Demographics
Home to over 900,000 inhabitants, Washintong also has one of the biggest per-capita counts of Supers. It is currently estimated that about 300 supers operate in and around the city, factoring in both those officially employed, operating outside super employment programs, and an estimate of the superpowered criminal underworld, a number exceeded only by New York City and Los Angeles.
Defences
The city is protected by the largest amount of sanctioned supers found anywhere in the States, chiefly amongst them The Patriots , a high-profile team under direct command of the President of the United States, and primarily charged with their protection against superhuman threats.
Infrastructure
Washington is home to various buildings of government, such as the U.S. Capitol, the White House, the Library of Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court Building and th Department of Superhuman Affairs.
It is also home to the Hall of Patriots, the headquarters of The Patriots, the city's and perhaps country's most famous team of sanctioned supers.
History
Founded because Thomas Jefferson and James Madison really wanted the national capital in the South, while Alexander Hamilton really wanted to take on debt and it's kind of weird when you read up on it in researching for your silly little superhero games.
