The Übers

The Übers are a group of radical super supremacy activists and Rogues active in Cape St. Joan, Oregon. The state of Oregon considers them superpowered terrorists.

Culture

The Übers are united in their belief that Supers are superior to normal humans just in abilities, but consequently also in worth. From this sense of superiority, they declare all attempts of non-powered people to regulate, order, rule or otherwise control people with superpowers to be illigitimate supression against which they must fight at all costs to claim their "rightful place in a new world order".   Within their group they unite a diverse spectrum of political ideologies, bound only by this common goal of resistance. From far-right fascist seeking to build a state where supers reign supreme over normal humans to far-left anarchists who want to merely shake off all regulations and let the right of the strongest rule the land, their members cover both ends of radical ideologies.

Public Agenda

The Übers seek to disrupt public order by attacking assets of the federal and state government, disrupting Sanctioned supers in their duties as law enforcement and make spectacular shows of their powers as an intimidation tactic. They have also targeted non-powered, in particular politicians and other people holding elected or otherwise public offices in the past. Many of their members have violated the Golden Rules of the Human/Superman Regulations Act with full intent and on purpose.

History

In 2003, an user by the name of Harbinger_of_Übermensch on the online forums of Superhumans.net published a manifesto entitled "Arrival of the Übermensch: On the responsibilities and rights of a more advanced people". The manifesto was controversially discussed at the time and the user in question received a permanent ban due to the manifesto's call for a violent uprising against the "mundane elites".   When the Übers were founded in 2004, they announced their existence to the world by spreading copies of this manifesto all over Cape St. Joan, all of them ammended with the statement "We take up the fight!".   Over the following years, the Übers would become infamous for their precise, showy, but irregular attacks on law enforcement and public buildings all over the city.   While multiple of their members were arrested over the years and one even killed in action, they never disbanded as a result of these losses. They also never had trouble replentishing their ranks.   In 2018, they notably were the only super group who did not participate in the hunt on Jane Doe during "D-Day", merely agreeing the ceasefire as other rogues and independents pressured them into compliance.

Volume 2: Vacuum

In 2023, the Übers were the only active rogue team in town not invited to Parrot's meeting to discuss the crash of Black Jack. The information broker had refused to inform them as she feared that the group would immediately act in retalliation against Cross Energy Holdings and Daniel Wales.
