While many Venirans have seem some green areas, usually in the form of the Green Hills it is always an awe inspiring experience for visitors.
The rainforest was for the longest time in control of the Xalnan government, but after it collapsed after the War of Misunderstanding control slowly passed over to the Ven'Ir.
Many settlements within the rainforest are made out of tree houses in order to stay of the wet ground and away from larger animals. Sometimes there are entire roads up in the trees between settlements.
Due to the moisture the rainforest is not the permanent of many Venirans, because it has a tendency to cause fungal infections on their scalp.
Geography
Most of the terrain is relatively flat, with only a few hilly areas, but even they are covered in trees and other plantlife. The relative flatness of the land has meant that the many rivers start meandering quite a lot, preventing permanent settlements right next to rivers.
At the edges of the rainforest, towards the ocean, the rivers have deposited enough sedimentary material to cause the area to become hazardous to cross.
Fauna & Flora
Some claim that there have been as many attempts to catalogue all the plants and animals as there are plants and animals, only for that argument to be taken down when a new plant or animal is found.
Most of the new discoveries are smaller animals, such as birds or insects. The larger animals are reasonably well known, in particular the ones that can be dangerous.
Tourism
While many Venirans want to visit the rainforest at some point, it is often difficult or expensive to do so, due to the difficulty in crossing the large plains.
