Bone Cipher

Life's Revolt has been an illegal organization since being removed from power by House Corsair and its allies. With the new nobility destroying bones to keep them from being reanimated by necromancers, Life's Revolt choose to use this desecration to their advantage. Developing its own written cipher from broken bones. Some necromancers have gone so far, as to break their own bones before they die, to get there message to the outlawed organization, in hopes that their bodies will be discovered and their message passed along. Bone Cipher cracks are generally made with magic given the need for precision, but it can be cracked with a hammer or chisel if the messenger is skilled enough.   Many remains across Fade hold a library of secrets. From the locations of different hideouts and sympathetic families, to the whereabouts of deadly magic and dangerous secrets. It is said that the bones in the cemetery of the converted could give you the powers of the gods if they where ever fully deciphered, a highly unlikely feat as their are a hundreds if not a thousand remains in the mythical cemetery, all with shattered bones and dark magic.
Small Bones: Small bones are generally broken in pattern for messages meant for immediate delivery, small bones are the most likely to be destroyed by other methods, and as such are only used for messages that will be found in a relatively short amount of time. Large Bones:  Breaking large bones into the cipher is a difficult prospect, and as such is only used for important messages that need to last.  More common in areas where the bones are protected, such as tombs, crypts, and cemeteries.  Breaking the bones in the precise manner necessary to pass along a secret message without revealing the cipher  to outside entities takes a lot of care and planning.
