Verette caught Aruman's eye while he was on a hunting trip outside of the city. She is from a noble house, but one of minor import. Despite the advice of his council, Aruman was determined to woo the Elf. She eventually came around and they have been the picture of matrimonial harmony since.
Verette is fond of wildlife and enjoys excursions to the nearby forests.
