Background
This is a version of Captain Meklan/Grognard that is from Toril. It seems that version of him created this to house some of his knowledge, and somehow it was put in a prison guarded by a Yuan-ti Anathema. He said it was because he held knowledge that a deity or some power wanted to not get out... Speaking Style Professor Meklan speaks with a clear and articulate voice, often pausing to choose his words carefully. His accent carries a hint of an Eastern European origin, and he often speaks with a wise and wise demeanor

The party originally met him, sans Bastion, in Session 48: Unexpected Side Mission in Toril Report when they freed him from a chest. It seems he found his way to Captain Meklan who put him in the grave of Viggie Storr so the party would find him as his information can be important to them. This occured in Session 61: Back to the Crypt, Again Report.
In Session 67: The Wizard's Cellar Report a partial book was found in the keep, titled: Lord of the End of Everything where it had a handwritten note:
