Analysis of Divination Spell Extension into the Astral Plane
Long winded and hard to read unless you really study it. This is like a college thesis but very thick.

If actually read or studied it can help learn a bit about these subjects.

Magic on the Astral Plane
Just like combat, the Astral Plane affects magic in interesting ways.Extradimensional Spells on the Astral Plane
The Astral Plane has no dimensions, therefore extradimensional spells such as Leomund’s Tiny Chest or the carrying capacity of a bag of holding won’t work there.Physical Spells on the Astral Plane
Spells that rely on the physical world such as disintegrate or the effects of a sphere of annihilation don’t work on the Astral Plane. However, spells like fireball and lightning bolt are translates to the metaphysical nature of the Astral Plane. Spells that alter space/time also won’t work, such as time stop. There is not a lot of “solid ground” in the Astral Plane, therefore spells like Evard’s black tentacles and Tenser’s floating disc don’t really have that much effect there, either.Spell Potency on the Astral Plane
Spell ranges increase by 50% on the Astral Plane. And spell times are reduced as follows: Spells that normally take a single action can now also be used as a bonus action. Any spell that takes 1 or more hours is reduced to the same number of minutes. And any spell that takes 1 or more minutes is reduced to the same number of rounds for casting time. All mind-influencing spells are more potent on the Astral Plane. The duration of these spells increase by 50% and saving throws against these spells are made at disadvantage. Haste and slow work normally except they do not affect movement. When psychic winds occur (more on that later) there is a chance that illusions such as hallucinatory terrain and phantasmal force could get absorbed by the winds and come out completely different than what was intended. You wanted a dragon illusion? Well, now it’s a clown with a seltzer bottle. Darn those pesky psychic winds! The Astral Plane is cut off from the Inner Planes. Therefore, elementals cannot be summoned to the Astral Plane.Astral Projecting Spellcasters
A spellcaster that is projecting his or herself onto the Astral Plane must enchant their spell components if they wish to use them on the Astral. Only magic and enchanted items directly translate over to the Astral Plane.Addendum on Dierde
These notes were added later in the back pages by another hand: Anubis was an Egyptian God of the Earth Realm. Long ago, these deities travelled to Toril on the Matet (or Semktet) a unique mystical ship which may have actually been a demiplane. It was owned by the Pharaonic and Mulhorandi solar deity Ra. It was the year -4366 DR and the mages of the Imaskar Empire sought to replenish their population after a devastating plague known as the Silent Death. They used the Bukhara Spires to open two great gates to another world and kidnapped numerous humans from two lands in two different period of time. One of these people worshiped the Pharaonic pantheon. These kidnapped humans prayed hard to their deities for salvation, but it was no uses, as the scorning wizards of Imaskar had closed all of their gates and even put up wards to prevent their prayers from being heard. The Overgod of Realmspace, Lord Ao, heard the prayers of these people and they contacted Ptah, an ancient deity of Wildspace with ties to the Pharaonic pantheon. At Lord Ao's request, Ptah returned to the home world of these people and informed the rest of his pantheon how they could circumvent the divine ward of the Imaskari, thus allowing them to come to the aid of their enslaved worshipers. Most of the Pharaonic deities went on to create powerful avatars known as manifestations (with Ra naming his Re) and traveled as them upon Matet through Wildspace under the shining guidance of Ptah’s Beacon of Light. Eventually, they reached the crystal sphere of Realmspace and its world of Toril, where Matet made landing upon the highest peaks of the Teyla Shan, a mountain range on the northeastern edge of the Imaskari Empire. There it landed close to the Galley of the Gods, a ship that the avatars of the later Untheric pantheon likewise used to access Realmspace. In the 11th century DR, in a major battle that was part of a larger conflict in the Old Empires region known as the Orcgate Wars, Re died from injuries he received from the orc deity Gruumsh. Re transferred his divine power to his son Horus, who was from then on known as Horus-Re and inherited his father's ship. These gods became the Mulhorandi Pantheon in Toril. When the Pharaonic deities that would become the Mulhorandi pantheon traveled to Toril, Anubis sent with the goddess Nephthys a cadre of his hound archons to serve her, among them one who was known as Thah Rahalar. Some time after this, it was believed by many planar travelers that Anubis had distanced himself from the Pharaonic pantheon and became a guard of the dead powers that floated in the Astral Plane, becoming what was known as the "Guardian of the Dead Gods". However, there never ceased to be an Anubis in the Pharaonic pantheon. Some believers of the former tried to rationalize this by claiming Anubis was replaced by a deity of the same name or that he had split his divinity into an aspect. The big thing here is that it is believed that some of the Mulhorandi Pantheon exist on Dierde, or at least have -- yet Anubis doesn't and is stuck on Toril. When the dragon woke there were those who believed that Anubis could kill the dragon since it is technically a dragon god. The author wrote about how it might be possible to travel to this Toril, find/convince/force Anubis here and then have him kill the dragon. Lots of unanswered questions on this, but the main point would be that Anubis and AO seem to the only ones able to actually kill the sleeping dragon. He is only held at bay by some gods and heroes who long ago went under the earth and sacrfiicied themselves to hold him down.Bukhara Spires:
The Bukhara Spires were circles of massive bronze spires erected by the Imaskari of Imaskar during their Early Dynastic period (-7975 to −6422 DR), at a time when they had mastered transdimensional magic. Each was etched with an intricate runic design said to be batrachi in origin. These permanent, two-way portals allowed the rapid transportation of whole legions over vast distances in the blink of an eye. This allowed the Imaskar Empire to rapidly expand across eastern Faerûn. After the Silent Death (which started in −4370 DR) nearly destroyed Lower Imaskar, Lord Artificer Khotan created twin Spires that connected to another world where the people had no control over the arcane arts. Over the next four centuries, tens of thousands of slaves where taken from the other world. Eventually this slave population began to intermarry with the Imaskari, giving rise to the Mulan ethnicity. There is a sketch of these, and in one they show a variation of the technology that is very familiar. The large room where the party fought Bargle and the Satyr Warlock of Tharizdun. The rest of the party, absent Bastion Bladesinger saw another room like this...Purpose
