Zahyr

Geography

The Zahyr has two mega-continents separated by a small ocean with the salt content of the dead sea. Main geographical features are striated mesas, deserts of various types (rochy, sandy, dry earth) and worn-down sedimentary mountain ranges. Most of the drinkable water comes from the rare rivers and reserves of ground water belowground, and its rarity makes it a resource so precious it can spark wars. Settlements are built around oases and main bodies of water and are usually constructed using the environment, which makes a lot of mud-covered houses and dwelling built in rock.

Fauna & Flora

Everything is tough and made to withstand the scorching and dry temperatures of the equatorial regions and the cooler, but equally dry temperatures of the poles. Native species include the sentient Tesz'tskaa, the notorious Var'shat (also called Sand Wyrm) of the central waste and the mysterious Nightbloom flower.
