The Order of Ilmater
The Order of Ilmater is sworn to protect the weak and the poor, and to tend to those who suffer.
Public Agenda
The order dedicates itself to serving the weak, the poor, the ill and the infirm. They are bound to take the suffering of others onto themselves.
Priesthood
The priesthood has a very loose structure, monasteries are run collectively, and individual faithful may seek their own paths if they feel a calling to duty.
The priests of Ilmater most frequently collect in monasteries located in or near cities or towns, where they can best serve the unfortunate. Monasteries typically tend to function as hospitals, orphanages, or provide services to the poor. Every monastery operates a soup kitchen and provides shelter to any who need it. More remote monasteries usually have a large group of monks, who defend the monastery and others in the surrounding area.
Clerics of Ilmater are often found in slums, or tending to hospitals. After a battle, it is not uncommon to see clerics assisting the wounded, even orcs and goblins. Some clerics spend their lives tending to their flock in a specific city or town, while others wander, seeking out people in need of assistance.
Paladins are most often wanderers, giving aid to villagers and combating evil wherever they find it.
