Denizens of the World

This page lists all playable, sapient species & subspecies in this world as well as their traits. Each listing links to a separate page where the traits are provided in thorough detail which should be considered Rules as Written. Players must build their characters using the species as they are written on these pages.
A note on species traits: in the original design of D&D 5th Edition, several species included traits granting them training in weapons, armor, or certain skills. For example, every dwarf would gain proficiency with axes and hammers, regardless of whether it made sense for the player character in question to be trained in those weapons.   In this world, that is not the case. These traits have been removed from the respective species. Choosing a character's species determines their biology, not how they were raised.

Mythic Heritages

Generally incredibly rare. The three heritages listed below might, depending on cosmic whims or fate, be born out of any of the species listed in the tables above. In all cases the stats listed on the Mythic Heritage page must be used for the character in question; the only exceptions are Age, Size/Height/Weight, and Speed. As such, the Lifespan column is excluded from the below table; as a rule of thumb, people with Mythic Heritage tend to live 25% longer than their mundane counterparts.
