Trimdon Stoop (a.k.a. Old Stoop)

They say he was here before The Rot took hold.
Old Stoop runs the General Store in Cosmere, mostly because nobody else will, and partly because he feels it is his duty to the town to try and give those who wish to help a fighting chance of making it out alive.
Born in Cosmere sometime around the end of the Pazanian War, it is thought that Old Stoop wished to join the military but was blocked due to his family being from a poor region.
The prices at the General Store seem to change depending on his mood. It is therefore recommended to take him a gift - food or drink can be hit or miss, but an interesting piece of a monster always goes down a treat - or tell him some gossip from the outside world, to try and improve his mood to get a better price. Sometimes he will simply charge outsiders double the price he would charge a local.

Hunched over old man, who shuffles rather than walks. Is stronger than he first looks, but you're already in trouble if you've found that out the hard way.

He can read, but only just. He relies heavily on people who come through his shop to tell him the titles on the books he has gathered for resale.

At some point he has served as a town guard, as he was rejected from the military. He does not speak about his time as a guard, and will kick people out of his shop for asking questions.
