Cosmere
The Rot is heavy here. It hangs in the air, making it hard to breathe unless you have a face covering of some kind (can be purchased at Old Stoop's General Store in a whole 3 colours - grey, dark grey, or black).
The town square now stands mostly desolate. A large oak tree, who last was recorded to have had leaves in the year 1425, stands in the brick square. A broken wall surrounds it, crumbling around the gaps on the 4 sides where the streets run off. Scraps of fabric hang from the lower branches, with names carefully written on them, in various states of decay. These names match to those on the headstones in the graveyard on the south side of the town, where the air is a harder to breathe.
The Northern Quarter has a few simple shops - a small book shop (which also serves at the town library) is run by a gnomish lady who will dust visitors down in the porch before they are allowed to enter, a general store run by Old Stoop, and a clothing store that is supplied mostly from donations from the larger nearby city of Layem.

Government
The laws of this town have not changed from before The Rot took hold.
Defences
A small, run down, stone wall surrounds most of the town. Wards on these are reinforced every year or so, to try and limit the spread of The Rot.
Industry & Trade
A small black market of items is run from within the town - certain spell components such as bone dust can be created here with ease, and there is no short supply of skulls from the graveyard which is operated by an organisation that is a front for one of the areas most dangerous criminal organisations - Issunthir.
