Daelham

A small fishing village, visited regularly on trade route as a half way point to replenish supplies.   Approx. half the people here make their livelihoods through fishing, a quarter as farmers, and the remaining quarter from processing the items from the other 3/4 of the population.

Defences

The village has 3 offical guards, who work in rotation of manning a post at the road in to the village. In case of a major event, the majority of adults here have had basic training with a weapon of choice in order to be able to defend their homes.

Industry & Trade

Fishermen or sheep farmers - the wool is spun and woven and sold as bolts of brightly coloured fabrics which have beem hand dyed by the various families. A few merchant warehouses near the docks export items from other nearby villages.

Infrastructure

General Store - run by Tom the Tabaxi (dark fur with two pale brown bands on his back.
The Blue Water Inn - Tavern run by an older Tortle. Used mostly by sailors, who are limited on the number of drinks they may have, and will only serve ale to those who have a bell token (given out by the dock master). Whiskey and wines may be purchased with gold, but are significantly over priced.
Dock Master's Office - run by Pascal, a gruff, older-looking human man, and his wife Phyllis, a bubbly half elf lady who looks half his age but is older than him by some 15 years.
A small stone lighthouse stands above the Dock Master's Office, and is operated by a Owlen man who many of the villagers never see

he's a night owl, get it?

A magic supplies shop - They get sporadic deliveries appear in their back room. Its a thing, its weird, and its been that way for centuries. The money they make from exporting this stuff is crazy (not that many folk know about that...)

Districts

Split into three districts - housing, shopping and docks.

Architecture

Mostly wooden buildings, with the village hall being made out of more robust stone from the nearby mountain quarries. The people here take great pride in making different coloured pigments to dye their house thatched roof with, with colour recipes being family secrets in some cases.

Geography

In the narrowest part of the valley between the mountain ranges to the north and south. A fresh water stream comes into the village from the north and fills two wells before trickling into a large pond to the east. The western edge is into the sea.   Looking east inland, you would just be able to make out on the horizon the smoke stacks of the next village.
