Loom, capital of Krakhammen, “looms” over the sea below. Its towers and tall buildings are painted white, and from them and among them fly silk flags, banners, and pennants of every color. The wind off the sea below whips them into a dazzling display of kinetic energy that is mesmerizing for visitors and residents alike.

Loom sits on the northern bank of the Straits of Merala and is one part of the Gates of Merala. It is colloquially known as “The North Gate.”
