Degheich

The Demon World

Degheich is a twin of the world as we know it. Each was created by a deity. The two deities wanted to put the worlds up against each other, so they created them with the same geographical base and then populated them with different humanoid races. Each world has developed differently from the given base. Our world as it is known to us. And what we humans would call the "Demon World" - Degheich. Compared to us, the citizens of Degheich live in a world with magic and some humanoid species that we humans would expect in myths and legends. Most importantly, compared to us, they know about the twin world hidden behind a magical barrier. There are some portals, either natural or man-made from ancient times, that make it possible to cross between the worlds. There are also unintetional rifts in the magical barrier, through which one could slip into the other world. Those rifts are the reason for ships and planes randomely disappearing. But nobody from one world can survive long in the other one...   The Deity that created this world was Thakun. He spend more time on the different species, instead of focusing on the bigger picture. So Degheich shares the sun and the stars with Earth. It has its own moon though - copied from the one that the second Deity created for Earth.
