Yarchua

Yarchua is one of the many Dáotara monarchies on the eastern continent. The ruling family are currently the Belyakovs. It is a rather rich country in the north, their continental climate not stopping them from using their ressources effectively. They have a strong military and have alliances around the world, making them part of one of the strongest alliances globally.

History

Yarchua was founded around the same time that Stadescos has. Compared to them, Yarchua always had to fight for their territory though, going into the present as well.

After a few bad years in the country, the Belyakov family, who were dukes in Yarchua, with their dukedom revolving around Nivis, rebelled agains the founding royal family and took the leading position for themselves. When the family moved to the capital, Nivis remained their vacation retreat. It is also where the Belyakovs have since held their annual Winter Ball on the Winter Solstice.

After the rise of the Empire in Yarchua, the husband, brother and sister in law of the current queen, Feodora Belyakov, were killed. After that event, instead of striking back in revenge, the queen made a deal with the Empire to safe her country from further trouble. This action earned her the nickname of Ice Queen.

Current political situation

Yarchua is allied with Stadescos and has been for a long time. The two countries have arranged multiple marriages between their nobility and royalty to solidify this relationship. The youngest proposal was a marriage between the crown prince of Yarchua, Arkadiy Belyakov and Celia Velázquez V., which was later annuled after Celia´s family was murdered and she became the sole heir to Stadescos.

Other than that, Yarchua is currently at war with Peletva and Paginé over an area called the Golden Lake. The lake is an important source of Skaosium and has been disputed over for a long time. Currently, Peletva and Yarchua have entered negotiations to have a chance to finally resolve the conflict though.
