Noble Tongue - pacoss lona

The Noble Tongue is a language that was developed and is used exclusively by Dáotára nobility. It was an attempt to set the Dáotára higher families further apart from the rest of society. The language was created very quickly to make that shift in mindset possible. That is why the noble tongue is at times very artificial and stiff in structure and vocabulary. Because this language did not develop naturally, but instead was created. The idea of a language exclusively taught to nobility was not perceived well by the rest of the Dáotára society and people widely had a negative attitude towards it. This is the reason why barely anybody uses the noble tongue today anymore. Some words have established themselves in the common vocabulary of people, so they have transitioned into the Global Tongue - cróil téense or into some of the regional languages. But if someone really is speaking the noble tongue today in a serious way, they are perceived as extremely arrogant and aloof.
