The Expedition of Lt. Vernon Armen
    Expedition

Lt. Vernon Armen sailed a small fleet of three ships to the Islands, landing on what is now known as The Oasis Skerry. His troops interacted with the native Selkies there and built a settlement before he left to report his findings back to the Metiana counsel.

    Creation of the Great Storm
    Metaphysical / Paranormal event

Humans arrived at the collection of islands that would later be dubbed “The Great Storm”. There a Selkie Deepspeaker made a deal with an otherworldly being for the power to drive them out. Yet when he cast his spell, he lost control and was destroyed by it. This magic leached into the wind and sea to create The Great Storm. This would mark the creation of a new Era: the Unending Tempest.

The Dispute over the Rain Islands
    Diplomatic action

The Farath and Zeri cultures both argued over who should take ownership of the Rain Islands—a landmass of closely connected "islands" which bore resemblance to where the Farath preferred to construct their towns in Faramine. The island was already claimed, however, by the Zeri, who claimed dominion over it during the Human-Selkie War.   In the end, the Rain Islands remained with the Zeri. Later it would become the official island of the Zeri Empire.

Foundation of the Central Island Alliance
    Diplomatic action

Prior, humanity in the Great Storm had been scattered across the islands. Eventually, each island began to form its own government, separate from one another. These rudimentary leaderships, though, proved too small to be effective. In 38 TA, on Anwon 7th, governor Welsh Perkins of Brimsey contacted the governors of Skerry, Brigton, Horizoncliff and Reylux to form a more centralized government. After just a week, the others agreed. Thus, a stronger central government began to take shape.

    Artima-servitude Deal
    Political event

After much pressure due to the rising issue of felons and prisoners, Annin Plutark agreed to a proposed plan pushed forwards by the three major houses on Artima. Once the bill was passed, Port Brimsey and the other inner islands enacted policies which allowed for the forcible transport of non-citizen felons to Artima to ”work off“ their debts.

Collapse of the Central Island Government
    Disaster / Destruction

Pirate Queen Morgana and Anarchist Howard Winwright both cooperated on Anwon 12th, 327 TA to strike a crippling blow at the Central Island Government. They planned to assassinate then-leader of the navy Annin Plutark. Though unsuccessful, Plutark committed suicide days after the attack. A month after Plutark's death, the government fell apart, as its remaining members feared death via assassination.

    The Brimsey Revolution Massacre
    Criminal Activity

On this day, a band of a dozen revolutionaries in Port Brimsey, lead by Howard Winwright, ambushed a marine patrol that included Grand Admiral Austyx. The raid failed to kill Austyx, ending with Howard and most of the other rebels dying, along with three of the marines.   This event prompted Howard’s son, Evan Winwright, to leave Port Brimsey for the outer islands, where he began to plot a anarchic revolution of his own.

    Rampage of the Warping Mass
    Disaster / Destruction

On Anwon 23rd, 352 TA, the first Aberration-class entity in 62 years appeared on an inner island. The monstrosity spawned on the Oasis Skerry, in the waters just outside of Fortania city. Between its spawn and its death, the entity had slain over a thousand people. It was exterminated a day after it spawned by the crew of Shorerider, a Black Iron Navy ship just outside of Fortania.
