Custom-made and Masterwork Weapons

“Most sabers you see today were produced by blacksmiths for nobody in particular. They are not bad weapons, make no mistake, but they also are not made for the wielder. If you truly want a weapon that feels like an extension of yourself, it must be handcrafted for you, and you alone.”

Custom-Made

Custom-made weapons require the weaponsmith to take careful measurements of the user’s body, their strength, and how they fight. Such a process takes time, and distracts the weaponsmith from their work. Hence, making such a request will not be cheap. Custom-made weapons take a tenday to complete, and cost five times the original cost of the weapon.   All Custom-made weapons have a +1 to hit when used for an attack. Or, in the case of a firearm, a +1 to the weapon’s aim check. These bonuses are only applied, however, to the intended wielder. If someone else attempts to use the weapon, it acts like a standard version of that weapon, with no bonuses. Custom-made weapons also have greater durability, and are not easily broken. They can still break if excessive force is applied to them for continuous periods, but will not snap from standard use.

Masterwork

Masterwork weapons require extensive skill to make, along with a fully furnished forge. Such weapons are made only with the finest of metals, leathers, and other materials. The process for making a Masterwork weapon is long, requiring a month, during which the wielder is required to be present. Due to the rarity of weaponsmiths that can make such quality items, the price for Masterwork weapons is not standardized. One can expect such a weapon to cost Twenty-five times that of an ordinary weapon.   Each Masterwork weapon is unique and will have different properties. Each property, along with its description, is listed below.   Aligned. (Bladed weapons only)
The blade goes exactly where you want it to each time without fail. It seems to align the edge perfectly into the target with every swing. All attacks with this weapon have a +1 to hit and your critical hit range increases to be 19-20.   Consistant.
Every hit with the weapon always seems to deal considerable damage, even when you think you blundered on the strike. All attacks made with this weapon have a +1 to hit. If when you roll the weapon’s damage dice, the number rolled is less than half the maximum damage, the roll instead counts as half the maximum damage roll.   Dependable.
Even when your guard drops, it feels like you always manage to raise the weapon in the nick of time to defend yourself. All attacks with this weapon have a +1 to hit, and your Armor Class increases by 2 while holding it.   Lethal.
The weapon never fails to kill when it strikes a target just right. All attacks made with this weapon have a +1 to hit, and if you land a hit against a target that leaves the target with 6 HP or less, the target instantly dies.   Seemless.
The weapon feels of the perfect weight, and it seems to respond like a living part of your body, rather than as a piece of cold metal. All attacks with this weapon have a +2 to hit, and a +1 to damage.   Sheer. (Bladed weapons only)
The blade along the weapon is impossibly sharp, you wouldn't even dare to touch the blade to inspect the sharpness. All attacks have a +1 to hit, and a +3 to damage.   Firearms weapons use the properties below:   Deadly.
All bullets fired from the firearm have just the right amount of force behind them to impact maximum damage without over-penetration. All aim checks have a +1 to hit, roll the firearm's damage twice, and take the higher total.   Piercing.
The bullets fired always have the power to pierce metal armor. The weapon deals an additional 1 damage, and the aim DC is not affected by the target’s armor.   Precise.
The firearm is completely accurate, the ball never varies at all in its trajectory. All aim checks with this firearm have a +3 to hit.
The average cost of a Custom-made weapon is five times the item's base price.   The average cost of a Masterwork weapon is twenty-five times the item's base price. Hope you're rich, buddy.
