In Chapter I we learned how characters are generated, what their sbilities are and how they affect the game world. Now it is time to explore how the character survives and grows in power and stature.
The structure of this chapter follows the pattern of its predecessor, having been divided into three parts. These are: Making a Living, Living in Paris, and Shady Dealings. The first part, which explains normal upkeep, financial obligations, and extravagances, includes Filthy Lucre and Work.
The second part, Living in Paris, revolves around various opportunities for pay and status, and features Education, The Fine Arts,Patronage, Property, and The Help.
The last part, Shady Dealings, explains something of the criminal (or at least mildly questionable) opportunities in the City. This part explains The Red Light District and A Life of Crime.
