Planeshift Messengers

Essentially a kind of imp with planeshift ability, these creatures carry messages over short distances almost instantaneously and over long distances very quickly.  Few in number and jealously protected, they are held by and passed on to the rulers of the various factions on Deadmouth Island and tend to be utilized only for brief periods in the run up to the biannual Convocation of the Lake to arrange the outlines of truces, agendas and alliances to be brokered in advance of the meeting.  Planeshift Messengers can be dominated for brief periods (usually enought to exchange a short message and response), but as the influence wanes they will have a tendency to disappear into a different plane for their own purposes.
