Daval
Daval is one of the more forgiving parts of New Cheliax, however it comes with its own struggles. As the bread basket of the land it has an unusally large amount of bandits that live in luxury due to the lack of military presence. In addition the number of beasts in the province are generally higher due to the easy access to grain, livestock, and unsuspecting farmers.
Agriculture & Industry
Daval is the leading producer of food in New Cheliax and arguably the world. Their primary crops are corn, wheat, and soy, they also farm cattle, horses, pigs, and a few more unusual things like Axe Beaks and Moas.
Trade & Transport
As Daval is behind in demand and the need for military technology most traders have traditional horses and carriage rather than autocarts. This means that trade and information move significantly slower in Daval than most other places.
Infrastructure
Daval is surprisingly well developed, several trade routes have been made and paved with cobble, constant demand has even lead to the development of tunnel systems that allow for direct trade with Fargen through the mountains. However, few of these routes have not been well maintained due to constant needs from other provinces. This sometimes leads to collapsed tunnels and downed bridges adding days to journeys through more dangerous lands.
