Kletterholl - IV

Kletterholl has been the home of the dwarves since the dawn of time. It was here that Moradin created the race, bestowing upon them his temple and great forge. It has since become a haven for all, the races mingling here as they do throughout the world. While many in this city have followed the other races and abandoned the old gods, some remain devout to the Soul Forger in hopes of regaining favor.
The clash between tradition and growth slowly grew. Fighting broke out in the city, and steadily spread across Verndari Mountains. Yet somehow, in the midst of all this, the city transitioned to a democratically elected Council. The clan leaders and elder clerics backed off and oversaw a peaceful transition to the new government, recognizing they are seen as relics of the past. A tenuous peace has existed the last 10 years, though it is only a matter of time until it boils over again.
