Engineering Gadget

Once per a day, the gadget can be activated to generate one of the following effects:

Pinpoint.

Activate the gadget as a bonus action. You gain advantage on your first attack roll.

Engineer's Wrath.

Activate the gadget as an action. Your next hit with a melee or ranged weapon during this effect's duration deals extra damage equal to your engineering modifier. Requires concentration. Last for 1 minute or until you hit with a melee or ranged weapon.

Refurbishment.

Activate the gadget as an action. Make an Engineering check against an object or construct that has hit points. It recovers hit points equal to the result of your skill check -10. This can be modified per usual by using an Engineering kit.

EMP.

Activate the gadget as an action. You send out an electromagnetic pulse that affects all electronic devices and anything that uses a battery in range. These items stop functioning unless they have shielding.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

They are a mechanical device that the functioning of can only be comprehended by those with the ability to create one. They run off a small battery and respond only to the commands of the person the gadget was fashioned for. It is said that these have been created using the ancient technologies of the Before Time.

Significance

These items are seen as a symbol of a person's engineering ability as they can only be created by individuals that have studied engineering. It is well known that these items are created for the sole use of the person that created it.
