Adlet

Considered one of the Old Gods, existing before even creation stories begin

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

In Depictions she is thin, gaunt, appearing brittle. There is an ominous quality. Her robes are shadows, or cobwebs, or decaying. Cheekbones and elbows and shoulders are always sharp and pointed like knives, face expressionless, cold, impassive. No help to be found here, no protector or blessing. Only the keeper of the lost.

Worship & Priests

Priests of Adlet will do blessings at funerals for important figures, but it is known that the blessing is not required to pass on to the after life. Souls are collected by her underlings, which appear often as large black animal, most frequently as dogs. They are brought to her, where she lays them to rest in her endless halls, gifting the worthy with a world of dreams, and trapping the wicked in torments of their own devising   She is the keeper of all the dead - as such, the undead are a personal insult to her. Some paladins travel in her honor, smiting the undead and restoring the balance in her favor.
