The Human Pantheon

Worship

Temples

Temples to the human pantheon are rarely to an individual god, but rather a place of worship for many if not all the gods in the pantheon. The temple will have a large main room, with smaller areas or alcoves to house shrines to the individual gods. An attached building will be living quarters for the priests, clerics and paladins making the temple their home.

Shrines

The shrines are designed for brief, personally meaningful, interactions between worshipers and their god. The shines will have a statue depicting the god, an aspect of that god, or a potent symbol of the god. Larger temples will have more intricate depictions, but villages are known to have simple wooden carvings- the expense is not an important factor to the shrine. At the base of the depiction will be several plates for offerings. Offerings to human gods are rarely money; it is considered 'lazy' or 'unthoughtful' to offer coin. Instead the offerings are items, often small, considered meaningful either to the person offering or to the god recieving.
