Geography

The Blooming Continent is the largest landmass on the world of Dauthea with hundreds of islands of various sizes across the Infinite Ocean. The supercontinent that is The Blooming Continent stretches nearly from pole-to-pole encompassing a diverse array of biomes and geographies. In the center of the continent is "The Heart of Dauthea" a great inland sea surrounded by grasslands and deserts. Two large mountain ranges go along the length of the continent with smaller ones branching off, Drakespire Mountains and the Elder's Wall. Much of the interior of the continent is deserts or steppes in between the more verdant coasts. The Shifts are a desolate region that has been so warped by ancient and powerful magic that it still infuses the land itself, changing the landscape and outbursts of eldritch magic are frequent. Off the southeastern coast is a catastrophic hurricane that has been stationary for several thousand years known as the Everstorm. Several archipelagos and larger islands make up the region of Lapita that is located on the other side of Dauthea from The Blooming Continent. Many are either lush jungles or rocky desert islands that have only just emerged from the ocean. A dozen or so larger islands are able to support several biomes such as marshes or grasslands. An endless series of caverns runs underneath the surface of Dauthea called The Deep Below. In some forests, jungles, or oases are entrances to a realm overflowing with magic and life, The WIlds.

Fauna & Flora

Giant insects and reptiles are the dominant fauna of Dauthea with the largest mammals being the various humanoids that populate the land. Flora is not limited to plants such as trees and grasses, but many types of fungi grow throughout the world.
