The Rise of the Northern Alliance

When the Elven Empire started to decline, the Human states of the North came together and formed the Northern Alliance and rose up to fight the Elves together.

The Human states of the North were founded during the Time of the Elves, with the approval of the Elves of Alvanore. They were part of the Elven Empire and had to pay tribute to the Elves. Elven soldiers were stationed throughout the Northern territories and the Elven governors in each city had final say on all important matters. The Humans were also bound to help the Elves in times of war with money, materials and soldiers.    One of the tactics the Elves used to control their territories was to promote and encourage rivalry and mistrust between the various subjugated countries and people. So it took the Humans hundreds of years to finally get past their differences and come together to form the Northern Alliance.
