Old Town
Besides The Village, Old Town is the oldest part of Rhynmouth.
The main streets are the King's Road, leading from Southgate to the Temple Bridge, and The Blade, leading East from King's Road to the Old Harbour. Most streets are paved, but the smaller alleys are narrow and twisted and the houses old and in a variety of styles.
During the last centuries many Dwarves settled in Old Town and, though they did not rebuilt the whole area like the Gnomes did in the Dun, they altered and decorated a lot of the houses in the Dwarven Style. Along the Blade, they built a lot of smithies, so the whole area has become quite industrialized. Adding to that are a lot of other workshops, such as carpenters, leatherworkers and tanneries, butchers and stone masons. The Old Harbour is still working and along the Canal the Fishmarket has found its home. A bridge over the Canal leads to The Warren.
The Western side of King's Road is dominated by old Blanford Castle, which now houses the Watch Headquarters. South of the Castle the streets are full of baker shops, cobblers, candlestick makers and a lot of brewers. The Brewer's Guild has its headquarters here and there are quite a number of Inns and Taverns that provide their services for the inhabitants of Old Town, most of which are Humans and Dwarves.
