Light and Darkness

The creators of the Four, Light and Darkness, while opposites, have long learned to work together to ensure order in the world.
In addition to being the essenses of day and night, they also aided the Four in the creation of life, particularly the Daulka: Light gifted them the power of thought, while Darkness gave them gift of dreams.
The Four, however where not their first creation. That was the the Shadows, an accidental creation during their time of conflict.
Light and Darkness are believed to the creations themselves of the Void, though whether that was accidental or on purpose is a source of debate.
