Tas Callum

Tas Callum is owner and proprietor of Tas Callum's Brewery in Fogdowns, Vantam. He runs a pretty tight ship and that makes his establishment one of the more prominent in the district. Most of this is a result of his side business. He runs an underground alchemist lab beneath the tavern, prompting a need for extra security and to avoid any notice from the law. Anyone who starts trouble in the tavern is ejected, violently if necessary.

Tas’s black market business provides untraceable, unregulated supplies of alchemical solutions and materials to a variety of legitimate and illegitimate concerns. When someone needs twelve barrels of powdered wyvern venom on short notice with no questions asked, they go to Tas Callum.

Tas is a survivor. He doesn’t particularly like people, but he sees the necessity of having friends and allies. He does not share the ambitions that drive so many in Vantam and considers the race to discover the next big thing a bore. He’s perfectly content to run his bar and stay out of trouble. When asked why he would then bother to run a black market business and risk the heat, he mostly responds with a shrug and claims that his wife has expensive tastes. Tas Callum, of course, does not have a wife, leaving his true motivations a mystery.
